Aesthetic Injectables

As Dr. Skorberg’s first patients began to age, they often spoke with her about their physical appearance and aging.  As we age, it’s not unusual to look in the mirror and see aspects of ourselves that look “older” than we feel – frown lines and crow’s feet are often one of the first things women notice and wish they could change.

After speaking to woman after woman who wanted their outward appearance to match their inward youthfulness, Dr. Skorberg began offering aesthetic injectables.  Many of A Woman’s Healing Center patients have been happy with their results, and Dr. Skorberg even uses it herself!

If you’re interested in looking younger, happier, and healthier, speak with us at your next appointment or schedule a consultation with Dr. Skorberg to see if these injectables are right for you.

What Are Injectables?

Aesthetic injectables are FDA-approved, nonsurgical treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe lines between the brows and the outside corners of the eyes. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of patients surveyed saw improvement in the appearance of their frown lines one month after treatment.

If you’re curious about the benefits that they can bring to your face, be sure to schedule a consultation or speak with your doctor about it during your next appointment. We’re happy to answer all of your questions and help determine if it’s an appropriate course of treatment for you.

Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

Aesthetic injectables work by targeting one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. If you discontinue treatment, the moderate to severe frown lines and crow’s feet will gradually return to look like they did before treatment.

How long does an appointment for injectables take? Can I come in on my lunch hour?

One 10-minute Cosmetic treatment of a few tiny injections typically results in noticeable improvement within a few days and treatment effects lasting up to 4 months. (Results may vary.) Schedule an appointment for a time that works best for your schedule.

What should I talk with my doctor about before making an appointment?

Your doctor will want to know the following to determine if injectables are an appropriate course of treatment for you:

  • Are you taking any medications? Include prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
  • Do you have any medical conditions, including any muscle or nerve conditions or if you have had swallowing or breathing problems in the past?
  • Have you had surgery on your face or do you plan to do so shortly?
  • Are you pregnant or plan to become pregnant or are you nursing or plan to nurse?
