With the changing of the seasons comes some changes and news at A Woman’s Healing Center. Here’s what’s been happening at our office this Spring.
Dr. Grove’s Baby Shower
Our staff recently went out to celebrate our own Dr. Grove with a baby shower! We loved getting to be a part of this special day, and we can’t wait to meet her new family member. Dr. Grove is due at the end of May, and she will be taking maternity leave at that point, then returning back to seeing patients towards the end of summer.
Introducing Our New Midwife, Carolyn
We would also like to introduce Carolyn Bottone-Post, a new midwife at our practice! Carolyn will be working with OB patients at A Woman’s Healing Center on Mondays and Fridays. Keep scrolling to read her full bio.
Carolyn Bottone-Post is a Certified Nurse-Midwife with four decades of clinical experience and a passion for teaching student nurses. After 10 years as an RN in med-surg, ICU and L&D, she received her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and practiced full scope midwifery for 20 years; later providing ambulatory midwifery and women’s healthcare while pursuing a career in academia.
Carolyn earned her DNP from Regis University in 2016 in the APRN track, and now teaches obstetrics and women’s health for baccalaureate and FNP students at the University of Northern Colorado as a full-time assistant professor.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and five grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading and beginning quilting. She is committed to improving women’s healthcare globally and had traveled with Project Cure to Mexico, Paraguay and Ghana providing women’s cervical cancer screening and treatment, and teaching components of Helping Babies Breathe, Essential Care for Small Babies and Helping Mothers Survive Bleeding After Birth.
Welcome, Carolyn! We can’t wait for you all to meet her.
Saying Goodbye to Dr. Eliott
We are sad to announce that Dr. Sarah Eliott is no longer with A Woman’s Healing Center. If you have any questions about Dr. Eliott leaving, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
